Two Girls Die because of Electric Gate
Two girls, aged five and six, died because of electric gate in separate incidents.
On Saturday afternoon, a five-year-old little girl who is trapped from an electronic gate and died in the Bridgend, South Wales. The girl is playing on her own when the gate is activated and she is caught. There is one neighbor who saw her immediately run to the little girl and try to help her while someone called an ambulance. The doctors came and they took her to the Wales hospital but she died after a couple of hours.
Carolena, an Eastern European citizen, is the second child that became a victim of an electronic gate. The girl died from automatic sliding gate in Moss Side, Manchester. She is only six years old. This girl is playing with her friend, Samelia Campbell, when the gate is activated and she got stuck.
The owner of the block of flats, the 71-year-old Emlyn Griffiths, said that it is unbelievable that the child is trapped on the electronic gate because it has a sensor that makes the gate automatically open again if something is in the way. However, he offered condolence to the family of child.
The officers continue their investigation to find what the real reason of the accident whether it is accidentally operated by the child or there is someone who needs to open the electronic gate to move their car.
